Our church’s focus is on demonstrating and spreading Christ’s love to all. We are a multinational church with members and worshippers from all parts of South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe.

Estamos ubicados en uno de los barrios más diversos en el condado más diverso de la ciudad de Nueva York. Astoria / Long Island City es el hogar de personas de Grecia, Argelia, Marruecos, Colombia, Perú, México, Croacia, Filipinas, Guatemala, Brasil e Italia, por nombrar algunos. Esta diversidad nos recuerda siempre que Dios ama a toda la humanidad.

Our Neighborhood
 
 We are located in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the most diverse borough of the City of New York.  Astoria/Long Island City is home to people from Greece, Algiers, Morocco, Columbia, Peru, Mexico, Croatia, the Philippines, Guatemala, Brazil and Italy to name a few. This diversity always reminds us of how God loves all of humanity.
 
 
 
Nuestra Historia

San Pablo la Iglesia Metodista Unida se inició en el 1967 como un grupo de oración y estudio bíblico. Nuestro nombre original era Misión Hispana de Long Island City y fue cambiado a mediados de la década de 1980 cuando fuimos bendecidos con el templo de la antigua Iglesia Metodista italiano llamada St. Paul. En honor de esta bendición, hemos cambiado nuestro nombre a San Pablo.
 
 
Our History
 
San Pablo United Methodist Church started in 1967 as a prayer and Bible study group.  Our original name was Long Island City Hispanic Mission and was changed in the mid 1980's as we were blessed with the temple of the former Italian Methodist Church named St. Paul.  In honor of this blessing we changed our named to San Pablo.

San Pablo es parte de la Iglesia Metodista Unida. Nuestra denominación que comenzó como parte de la renovación espiritual en los Estados Unidos y Gran Bretaña, que fue dirigido por John Wesley. La teología Wesleyana cree en la Trinidad y en el amor sacrificial de Jesucristo. También creemos que la santidad personal va de la mano con la santidad social. La santidad social nos recuerda que somos profetas del amor de Dios y nos llama a ayudar a los pobres y a denunciar las injusticias. La santidad personal nos recuerda que para crecer hay que seguir y  aprendiendo más acerca de Dios a través de estudio de la Biblia, la oración y otras disciplinas espirituales.

Our denominational heritage
 
San Pablo is part of the United Methodist Church. Our denomination started as part of the spiritual renewal in America and Great Britain that was lead by John Wesley. Wesleyan theology believes in the Trinity and in the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ. We also believe that personal holiness goes hand in hand with social holiness. Social holiness reminds us that we are prophets of God’s love and calls us to help humanity’s poor and to speak out against injustices. Personal holiness reminds us that in order to grow we must continue to learn more about God through Bible study, prayer and other spiritual disciplines.
 
Visión de fundición

La visión de San Pablo es la de abrir nuevas iglesias y / o nuevos lugares de adoración en Queens y Brooklyn. Nuestra esperanza es difundir las buenas nuevas de Jesucristo a través de pequeños grupos a lo largo del condado ... y la ciudad. Es nuestra esperanza que San Pablo pronto será capaz de ofrecer tutoría y ayuda con los deberes despues de clases desde nuestro sitio principal de adoración. Además estamos buscando y orando por una banda cristiana orquesta / que va a desempeñar, no sólo en San Pablo, sino en toda la ciudad y más allá. Sobre todo buscamos ser un faro de amor de Dios y esperanza a todos.
 
Vision-casting
 
San Pablo’s vision is to open new churches and/or new worship sites in Queens and Brooklyn. Our hope is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ through small groups throughout the borough ...and the city. It is our hope that San Pablo will soon be able to offer after-school tutoring and homework help from our main worship site. In addition we are seeking and praying for a Christian orchestra/band that will play not only at San Pablo but throughout the city and beyond.    Above all we seek to be a beacon of God’s love and hope to all.
